The ice mage had gazed into her eyes and tried very hard not to sound so insecure about this whole sitatuon. Could he really do it? Could Gray really go through with taking the drastic step that could have possibly change everything about them? It scared him and excited him all at the same time. Right now, this moment was happening between them and he didn't know what to do or how to respond properly to her confession.

“Gray-san...” Talia stated with her voice trembling. She was so nervous and she prepared herself for any outcome from this situation. “I know this is a lot to try and take in, but I really do care about you. Even though I have a cruel way of showing my feelings, my sincerity is there with each and every one of my actions...”

When Talia slowly ascended her head to gaze up at the ice mage, the expression that was showed within the projectile mage's eyes had clearly said everything that he needed to know. Gray was no fool. She was literally pouring her entire self out to him and that was something that even the ice mage couldn't ignore. Even with partial understanding of her feelings, Talia was still willing to risk those emotions and put herself on the line for him. Her bravery was remarkable and it said so much about her in his opinion.

“Talia, we're friends and partners all the same and mages from the same guild. I see you as a dear friend, but I feel something more than what a comrade should feel towards another. It's difficult for me to grasp these feelings and I can't fully understand why I feel this way towards you. You feel this way towards me as well and even you don't understand these feelings. It wouldn't be right to take something from each other that we might end up regretting later on in life. Believe me when I say this. I do care about you a lot...” Gray cherished Talia a lot, but he treasured their friendship with such a strong abundance and he didn't want them ruin such an awesome bond that they already have.

“But, I am willing to give us a try.” Gray answered with a sincere smirk. “If you want to, that is.”

Taking her hands into his, Gray tried to gather all of his thoughts. Would things be any different with Talia as his girlfriend? The projectile mage was truly a one of a kind woman and all the new adventures that she would bring to him would be an very interesting ride.

“Really?”

Was her delicate ears deceiving her? Did he just really say that? Was Gray really giving her a chance at dating him? She wasn't hearing things; he had actually said it and she couldn't believe it. At the moment, the tears that she had held in were now flowing down freely from her dark magenta eyes. “Really?”

Gray nodded to her and that was all the confirmation that she needed. He was really being sincere and understanding with her feelings and Talia couldn't be any happier than she was right now.

“Gray-san...” The projectile mage whispered as she smiled warmly at him with tenderness. “Gray-san!”

Unable to contain her her feelings, Talia had leaped into his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck, gently pressing her soft lips against his. Gray did not hesitate from the gesture and he wrapped his strong arms around the small of her back, kissing her back and enjoying her taste. All of her feelings that she had for him were finally returned and being together would bring even more memories.

Gray's perception of Talia was a strong one. She is a bad ass mage and fighter, fierce and fiery on the battlefield, and kind and sweet towards those who mattered to her. She was one the few girls that could hold her own against him in a verbal fight and be brave enough to stand up against him. Perhaps Talia could be more than a nakama to him and Gray was willing to use all the time in the world in order to find out... The projectile mage was truly a one of a kind woman and he couldn't wait to see all the new adventures that she would bring to him...as his new girlfriend, that is...
